How can I connect the touch command in my BMW?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Answer:<\/strong> The process to connect your BMW\u2019s Touch Command to the included Samsung Galaxy tablet will depend on whether you have BMW Touch Command Gen1, Gen2, or Gen3\u2014check your owner\u2019s manual to verify which one you have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"bmw-touch-gen1-gen2\">To connect BMW Touch Command Gen1 and Gen2:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the tablet, go to All Apps &gt; Settings and verify that your WLAN setting is turned on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On your BMW iDrive infotainment screen, navigate to MyVehicle &gt; Basic Settings &gt; Device List &gt; Connect New device &gt; Touch Command &gt; Add New Device.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the tablet, go to Settings &gt; Connect to vehicle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select your vehicle once it appears in the Devices list, which should take about 10 seconds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On your vehicle, confirm that you would like to pair with the tablet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After about 15 seconds, the tablet should be connected to your BMW Touch Command system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"bmw-touch-gen3\">To reconnect BMW Touch Command Gen3:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the tablet, go to All Apps &gt; Settings and verify that your WLAN setting is turned on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On your BMW iDrive infotainment screen, go to Com &gt; Manage Mobile Devices &gt; New Device &gt; Apps (internet).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then use the tablet to read the QR code displayed on the infotainment screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The tablet should now be connected to the BMW Touch Command system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"factory-reset\">To perform a factory reset on your BMW Touch Command tablet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you still can\u2019t connect to your BMW\u2019s Touch Command, you may need to perform a factory reset on the tablet:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Power off the tablet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons for about six seconds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Release the Power button but continue holding the Volume Up button for another five seconds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wait to release the Volume Up button until you see an Android symbol and the words \u201cNo Command.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the volume up\/down rocker to choose Wipe Data\/Factory Reset from the menu options that appear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press the Power button to select this option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Navigate to Yes \u2013 Delete all user data on the next screen and press the Power button to choose this option. This step will completely wipe the tablet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the tablet says \u201cData wipe complete,\u201d choose Reboot system now from the menu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If your Touch Command still isn\u2019t working, there may be a malfunction with the tablet.
