The process will vary depending on whether you have a built-in HomeLink garage door opener or you\u2019re controlling the remote via your infotainment screen\u2014but either way, start by parking in front of your garage door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"to-program-a-homelink-garage-door-opener\">To program a HomeLink garage door opener<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow these steps if your Buick has a HomeLink system on the ceiling of the car near the top of the windshield, just above your rearview mirror.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Press the HomeLink button that you want to set as your garage opener.<\/strong> Most Buicks with HomeLink will have three buttons for you to choose from. The HomeLink light will start flashing once you press it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Place your garage remote next to the HomeLink system. <\/strong>Make sure the remote is as close to the HomeLink opener as possible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Press and hold the center button on your garage remote. <\/strong>Continue holding the button down until the light on the HomeLink opener stops blinking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Test the HomeLink button. <\/strong>Press the opener on your Buick that you just programmed to see if your garage door opens or closes.
